Ana Kristina Gasteyer - American performer, comedian and actor - is a comedian. She became famous for her stint as a star on the NBC comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live in 1996-2002. Since then, she's appeared on sitcoms like ABC's Suburgatory TBS People of Earth NBC American Auto as well as in the movie Mean Girls. Gasteyer began her career at Northwestern University. She initially trained in voice, but then switched to acting when she became involved in the improv comedy group on campus. The same energy was carried to her roles in supporting roles such in the roles of Sheila Shay, the overly-controlling character from Suburgatory and Karen Grisham the eccentric agent in Lady Dynamite. The actress had been Miss Veracruz, a journalist as well as a TV host. Reguera was a classical ballet student at Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura and went on to study the performance arts.
