Julie Chen Moonves hosts the hit summer reality series Big Brother, which returned to its 22nd season from in August, at CBS.Chen Moonves was one The original hosts of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning Talk show The Talk, serving as moderator and host from 2010 to 2018. However, her true passion came the time she brought writer into her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for her work. She won another Emmy for hosting an excellent entertainment talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news program The Early Show for a decade. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news during the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq as well as other important news stories on The Early Show. After 9/11 the news anchor was sent to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for an intense and eye-opening exclusive interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania of Jordan as well as the former defense secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Chen Moonves has also worked for CBS's New York City station WCBS, as a reporter, anchor as well as a producer (1997-1999). Prior to entering CBS News from 1995 Chen Moonves had been as a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. While completing her last year of college, she was an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and was producer for ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). Her first job in broadcasting was as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic idols. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together in Anatomy of a Riot - the primetime TV special that was awarded the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
